Session 9

Heroes: Tarabas, Meghera, Aonar

The Heroes approach the Modron March, and try to sway the lawful creatures from entering Heart's Faith. Their words fall on deaf ears, as the modron are inflexible and set to follow their course. In fact, they seem to be a bit too extreme in their willingness to sacrifice living creatures in the pursue of their mission.

Having failed with the modron, the Heroes decide to go back to Heart's Faith to help the city prepare for the arrival of the march. They push the townsfolk to abandon their homes and find refuge away from the town, but many are too stubborn or too scared to leave.

The warrior Cauldronborn, the aasimar in charge of the city while the ruling lammasus are away, tries to stop the modrons at the gates, earning a severe beating from the Quinton Hierarch in charge of the modrons.

The modrons enter the city, and begin wreaking havoc with their inexorable path, cutting through buildings and property alike, trampling under their metal feet those that do not move aside. The Heroes help where they can, saving people from damaged buildings, or recovering important items before the modron march tramples over them. In the end, all they can do is weather this storm, as the modrons make their way to the harbour.

There, they start destroying ships to build a bridge, in order to reach the portal to Excelsior in the Outlands. The citizen watch in awe as the modrons complete their work, and disappear inside the portal. With the threat gone, the Heroes decide to stick around and help in rebuilding the city.
