Heroes: Meghera, Zark, Vaako, Sai
Unwilling to face a whole fortress full of giants, the Heroes escape, taking their chances among the jagged mountains of Colothys. They chance upon a lonely cave, inhabited by a barmy arcanaloth. They trade food for information, and then they hurry to the east.
After many long hours of travel, the Heroes decide to camp, but the mountains of Carceri are no safe place to rest. Constantly harrassed by predators and fiends, the Heroes break their camp, and soldier on, harnessing whatever energy they have left, and reaching the town of Straifling.
The inhabitants of the village are not welcoming, but they're also not dangerous. After resting for a night, the Heroes continue their journey east, eventually reaching a colossal temple of white marble, the home of the Titan Crius.
The temple guards let them in without much trouble, warning them to show the proper respect to the temple and those who dwell within. Obviously, the Heroes follow the suggestion for a very short time, and are eventually brought to the presence of the High-Priest.
The holy man confirms that Zeracuk is indeed a "guest" of the Temple, but he has no intention of letting him go. Crius has other plans for the dwarf, hoping to exploit his knowledge of portals to his advantage. The Heroes play along and leave; but while Vaako and Zark kneel in prayer in front of the throne of Crius, Meghera and Sai sneak into the private chambers of the priests looking for clues.
Sai explores the eastern wing of the temple, finding himself in the private quarters of Crius himself! When the Titan spots the intruder, with a simple wave of his hand he teleports Sai in a vast white space with no apparent exit. In the same room, Zeracuk sits on the floor, hailing his new cell-mate.
Meghera finds the treasure room, containing several piles of coins and precious stones. When she steals some of the gems, the Titan senses the theft, and goes looking for the thieves. Meghera manages to escape capture, lurking in hiding. When the Titan questions Zark and Vaako, the necromancer tries to use magic to escape, but also ends up in the white cell. Vaako, having impressed Crius with his wits, is allowed to leave the Temple.
