Heroes: Meghera, Xeridan, Trull, So'Kehur
So'Kehur finds himself in Ranais, but he soon decides to return to Sigil and gather the rest of the party before risking to attract the attention of the Funereal World's inhabitants. When the Heroes return to Ranais, they go back to the evil temple that claimed Aldarion's life. This time they only find ruins, and they can enter the temple safely. Inside they discover a portal; magical probing reveals that the portal will bring them to the Negative Energy Plane, more precisely to a place called Tcian Sumere.
The Heroes enter the portal, and find themselves in a spherical room devoid of gravity. Air is scarce, and moving around requires a lot of effort. Through magical shadow-tunnels, they explore the compound of connected chambers, some similar to the initial room, others more similar to dungeon chambers.
Eventually they arrive in a cylindrical room where six visages are enthralled by a shaft of blue light. The Heroes assault the fiendish undead and defeat them after a hard battle. When they investigate the shaft of light, they find an emaciated figure floating in it. The creature is Glyphimor, once a powerful balor serving the obscure power claiming this fortress. He recounts that he was stripped of his might from the power Kiaransalee (a drow deity of undeath), and he awaits his master's will to return him to his former self. In the meanwhile, he's not against making a deal with the Heroes if they have magic powerful enough to give him back is demonic powers.
