Heroes: Meghera, Xeridan, Trull, Serghor
Among the treasures found in Tcian Sumere, Meghera discovers a map of Pelion, the third layer of Arborea. On the map a few landmarks are clearly indicated, among them the Realm of Amun-thys, home of the power Nephythys. Following previous hints, the Heroes believe Pelion is where they can find the source of the great power that has caused the death of so many gods during the last few months.
The Heroes travel to Pelion by way of the sea-realm of Ossa. When they arrive in the vast desert realm, they have to travel several days before reaching Bal-tiref, the mausoleum city of Nephythys' embalmers. From the local petitioners they learn of mysterious legends regarding the Last Spire, a place of great power linked to ancient, now forgotten gods.
Their investigation lead them to a tomb-robber, whose latest theft was the Orb of Kadu-Ra, one of the last relics associated with the forgotten gods. The Heroes track down and capture the thief, and retrieve the Orb. But when Meghera touches the golden sphere, her mind is sent back in time, to witness the expedition of another party of planeswalkers, who dared face the dangers of the Last Spire.
