Heroes: Meghera, Serghor, Jade, Vaako, Sarvaas
The Heroes must face the "guests" of Harbinger House, powers-in-the-making with a penchant for madness. Among them, Aztral, who can mimic the powers of anyone he sees, and Chance, able to manipulate luck in his favor. After exploring several of the rooms and portals of the House, the Heroes finally meet the main movers of this weird story.
They find the focrux, the very core of the House, in a huge room where the succubus Nari, the mastermind behind the theft of the planarity, is preparing a ritual to have Harbinger House slide into the Abyss. At the same time, she plans to perform a ritual similar to the one initiated by Sougad Law-Shredder, to become a power herself.
But her plans are foiled by the arrival of the Heroes, and then by Sougad himself. As the Heroes battle both villains, a horde of manes from the Abyss storm the chamber. When Nari assumes the visage of the Lady of Pain, with his divine powers of persuasion Trolan forces the Heroes to protect her. But Vaako frees himself from the compulsion, and ends Nari's life.
Abyssal manes keep swarming the room, while Sougad brings much ruin to the Heroes with balde and spells, trying to get the planarity from a rapidly fleeing Vaako. Enraged, Trolan throws himself at the focrux, trying to destoy it. Where Trolan's blade fails, Sarvaas greatsword, charged with the radiant power of astral energies, cuts through the focrux, which explodes in a thousand shards. A fountain of light emerges from where the focrux was situated, opening a hole in the roof of the House. Up above, the sky of Sigil can be spotted, and long shadows spread into the room. Shadows of blades.
The Lady of Pain soars high, the touch of her shadow cutting the manes to pieces. Sougad shouts his defiance at the Lady, but he is rewarded with the same fate. Pieces of the fledging power fly around the room, cut to fine ribbons.
With the focrux destroyed, the planarity turns to dust, and the all the doors and portals of Harbinger House close, probably forever. With an unconscious Trolan in tow, the Heroes leave the House. Outside, they meet factol Ambar; he congratulates them for their success, yet he resents the loss of the focrux and the planarity. Still, a great evil has been averted, and he express his gratitude to the Heores. They've earned their reward, and a long period of rest.
