Heroes: Meghera, Aldarion, Trull
The Heroes are approached by the titan Zadara; she believes whatever is left of the Modron March is carrying an item called the modron crucible, a magical artifact containing all the knowledge the modron have collected during their journey. Obviously, whomever owns the crucible, holds the power to unlock may of the secrets of the Multiverse. The titan hires the Heroes to recover the item, before the modron reach their final destination.
Inquiries reveal that the March has recently arrived in Acheron through the portal town of Rigus. The Heroes travel to Rigus, but find the portal closed: due to ancient agreements between the modron and the high-ups of Rigus, the portal will remain closed for a week after their passage.
While looking for alternative ways into Acheron, the Heroes discover that the modron will not travel to their usual portal to reach Mechanus from Acheron, but will pursue an alternative way: a portal inside the Mines of Marsellin, a labour camp easily accessible from Vorkehan, the Mercykillers head-quarter in Acheron.
The Heroes return to Sigil, and Trull contacts his faction. But Aldarion fears that the Mercykillers may want the crucible for themselves, and asks Meghera to look for a portal-monger. The tiefling reaches for her contacts and aquires the location of a portal that can lead them to Acheron's first layer, near the goblin city of Shetring. From there, they hope to find a guide that can lead them to Marsellin.
When they try to enter the town, Trull's orcish blood greatly upsets the goblins, and the Heroes are forced to run for their lives, eventually finding refuge in their magnificent mansion.
