So-Kehur

Human Ranger (Hunter)
Faction Agent

In a previous life he was Knight-Captain in the army of his Duke. During a long fought war against a invading army from across the seas he led part of the army in the field for close to a decade.

Faithful to their triumvirate of gods, he was also a power within the temple of one of the gods. At the end of the war he was allowed to participate with the innermost of the clergy in a ceremony where an avatar of his god shortly manifested.

Due to what was said here it dawned on him that the invasion was set up between the gods and their counterpart on the other continent to decide a dispute. Scarred with the sorrow of 9 years of fighting and the countless men and women he led to their death, and infuriated at the sudden meaninglesness of all his deeds he slowly grew in anger until after several minutes he snaped.

He shouted down the conclave and cursed the avatar of his god in no meaningless way, swearing to divulge all. Angered in turn with this mortal the god wanted to destroy him and punished him in a way worse than death, he was banished from the world into the vastness of the planes.

Retired (session 62): He wanders the Multiverse, hunting his next prey.

Aldarion Goldleaf (formerly Zark'Gish'Eth)

High Elf (formerly githyanki) Wizard (Necromancer) / Druid
Inheritor

Zark is a skilled githyanki necromancer known in several planes. He is noted for his search in something beyond Necromancy and the corpses he has left behind (or taken with him) in pursuit of that. Some rumors hold that he is the guardian of a great secret, of course if pressed, he refuses to speak of it.

Once an Oath can be extracted of the Necromancer, he is known to go to great lengths to keep it. He wades into battle wielding a Silver longsword, reminiscent of the famed Silver Blades of the Gith and wears armor. A black raven with a golden sheen to it's feathers perches on his shoulder.

Death (session 43): Beheaded for his crimes against the Fated. Reincarnated into a high elf thanks to the influence of Zadara the Titan.

Death (session 58): "gone scouting"... he entered the temple of a dead god of evil on the funereal plan of Ranais, and was consumed by the lingering power of said god.

Sai'gi'na

Githyanki Rogue (Mastermind) / Cleric (Trickery)
Urchin

Sai'gi'na is a Githyanki man whose parents sheared themselves from their society. When his mother was killed by a Gith as a betrayer, brokenhearted his father drowned himself in a swirl of small pleasures. The man died a meaningless death not much later over a gambling debt.

Ending up alone in the streets of Torch, the violent pit of a place his parents called home, after a time he was taken in by Leäzar, one of the Kindred of Yoj. Over the years only his own wits kept him alive, that and the assistance of a shard of a broken power. A wandering entity who attached itself to Sai'gi'na, it keeps itself hidden from all but the Gith himself. It granted him succour in the night and powers to survive the day -though did nothing to preserve an already fragile mind.

Growing up as an apprentice of Leäzar among one of the major Thieves Guilds in Torch was a youth best left untold as well -as is the rest of that life. Suffice to say, when the opportunity to leave the scarred bordertown came, Sai'gi'na readily took it. The opportunity took the form of another Githyanki, a planeswalker on a quest of grave importance for his family. After a group of Sai'gi'na's erstwhile companions made the mistake of trying to rob this planeswalker, ending up as walking corpses for their effort, he first hid himself away.

Prepared for a battle he waited in a corner of the Feasthall of Falling Coins -the chant this planeswalker was looking for him. No doubt to finish what he started. What transpired was quite the opposite of what he expected. The planeswalker, in his quest had turned to old associates of his aunt, a woman Sai'gi'na had once helped dispose of an errant mindflayer. A woman who had also killed all her other companions on that venture excepting Sai'gi'na himself who'd managed to hide -a detail apparantly unshared with her cousin.

Intrigued by his story, and secure in the knowledge the aunt was dead, he offered his assistance to the planeswalker. The fact half the Feasthall saw them talking and started to look as if he'd hired the sorcerer himself to deal with his companions had naught to do with it. Not at all.

More than a decade later the two are still companions. Part of it is a friendship forged by mutual travail, part is the fascination Sai'gi'na has with pointlessness of his friend's quest. It was a quest he pledged to on a whim, he has little detail of what he seeks, no real idea who was responsible.

And should he succeed the Lich Queen will surely eat his soul as his reward. As pointless as it is goes it has reached a rare height in that regard, one that Sai'gi'na will be witness to. It is a story of the meaninglessness of vows, societies' values and what others call the glue that holds everything together.

Death (session 35): Sucked into the Abyss with the whole town of Plague-Mort, and transformed into a tanaar'ri.

Tarabas Rabaq

Fire Genasi Bard (Valor)
Charlatan

No one knows how and when the efreeti blood encounter the Rabaq family line. The parents of Tarabas, primers from the city of Lankhmar, were forced to leave their hometown upon the birth of their peculiar child.

Tarabas’s father, Caslav, was a very gifted musician and poet, and they flee to the city of Sigil, under the patronage of Estavan, Merchant Lord of Sigil. There the young Tarabas began studying music and poetry under the guidance of his father. Tarabas’s mother, Nevara, never gets used to the strange life in the City of Doors, and passed away caught by a fever a few years after their arrival.

He and his father began to grew distant, and the teenage Tarabas began to scour the street of Sigil, finding unpleasant companies. He got in touch with Rule-of-Three, a fiendish swindler. The honeyed tongue and the charming smile of Tarabas were exploited by Rule-of-Three for his frauds. He taught him the art of forgery and disguise, selling faux relics and holy artifacts to Sigil’s high society. They posed as beggars, pious acolyte, learned scholars and exotic merchants. The association with Rule-of-Three definitively decided the separation between Tarabas and his famous father.

Upon reaching adulthood, Tarabas’s father died and he began to consider again his life and his purpose in the world. He parted ways with Rule-of-Three and start again to study and perform, continuing the legacy of his father’s art. He also joined the Society of Sensation, lured by their way of thinking and finding their beliefs very well suited for his personal view of the life and the multiverse.

From time to time he indulges again in the old habits, more as a test of skills and wit, than for profit. He likes to enthrall old ladies and fat merchants only for the sheer pleasure and amusement of his cleverness . Even now however the shadow of his father’s grandeur prevents Tarabas to enjoy his new life to the fullest. No matter what he does, it's never good enough. He cannot help but see in his victories many little defeats and failures. If he was stronger, smarter, faster, or more powerful, maybe he could be better. However, stuck in his father’s shadow, Tarabas always feels destined to failure.

HERE you can bask in his wittiness.

Sarvaas Kru'ul

Nagai* Paladin (Vengeance) / Warlock (Great Old One)
Outlander

To follow the Sacred Leaders is to be Nagai. For it is the Leaders who first led the people from their base roots and unlocked the powers of the mind. In their Ivory Fortresses they rule over the Clans of the Nagai in omnipotent wisdom.

A Nagai is merely a part of a Clan whose duty is is to serve and uphold the Sacred Leaders. Through this service and obedience they will be reborn as a Sacred Leader at the end of their cycles of the Wheel. To even imagine the opposite is to fall of the Wheel and be cast into Oblivion. And thus the Nagai toil, build and wage war for their Clans, for their Leaders.

Thus tower the fortress cities of the Nagai in the Astral Plane, the Legions of the Clans spewing forth in raids and conquest. The mighty Nagai, the Unlocked, the Perfected, the Guided.. ..the utter fools. I am Sarvas Kru'ul, 173th of my line, from the Clan of Ksar Kru'ul. I have seen the lies, the ancient manipulation by which the so called Sacred ones hold their iron fist on the Clans. And for my insight I was banished, never to return.

Raised a holy warrior for my Clan it had always been our duty to enforce the will of our Leader upon the weak willed people that populate the near Planes. Where the other Nagai wage battle in perfect unison, mindlinked battle formations and legions, to be Ksar Kru'ul is to be the stalker. He who follows his opponent as prey, he who hunts those who oppose that which is supposedly infallibe. I was good at this.

On my twentysixth birthday I was personally honoured by our Leader after the Makalian conquest. It was a proud moment, in ending the lives of their Archpriest and his council I had made immense influence on the war. I remember the pride of my family, the feeling of importance. I was as oblivious as any of the fools that are my people. As my skills grew thus did range farther away on missions, on my own, trusted. As such I spent less and less time in the gathering rituals of my people. And as such part of the cloud that is put over our thoughts slowly lifted.

The mind is beautiful thing, if you know how to use it one can shield itself from all, even powerful magic. Unless those same rituals learned and participated in are designed to control you from the outset. I came to slowly understand what was transpiring, how my people were not the Guided but the controlled, puppets to our mighty. Slowly but surely I gathered a few others to my missions and guided the through what I had gone through myself. In my hubris I thought I could change it all. Of course I had not been the first, I now understand the meaning the stricken names from our Clan history.

I will not go into the details for it is long and painful. Let it just be known that we were betrayed, me and mine. We were banished and hunted down ourselves by our Clan, by my family, our names now surely stricken from my Clan's writing. As I fled my erstwhile Clan-members I ranged further and further and came in contact with a group of beings, spread throughout the planes, who showed me the truth of the multiverse. We each make our own fate, we are each responsible for our own successes and failures. I paid in blood yet managed to acquire the key to a portal to Sigil, it is here I have lived from ever since. Eight years I have survived on my skills, a hunter of conscious beings is always in demand.

I have survived, I have grown, and one day I will return to my Clan and there will be a reckoning that will shake the Planes.

Vaako

Air Genasi Monk (Open Hand)
Urchin

Vaako's parents never accepted their heritage as air genasi, despising the elemental vitality of their blood. They joined the Doomguard together, and moved almost permanently to Citadel Exhalus in the Plane of Vacuum.

Vaako was born there, an air genasi in a plane where there was no air. In truth, a plane where there was nothing at all! Understanding destruction and dissolution was the fate of all things, when Vaako's was 6 years old, his father,in a fit of depression, decided to end the lives of his whole family.

But Vaako's mother protected him, and fought to save him. Before dying at the end of her husband's knife, she managed to send Vaako through a portal to Sigil.  Young Vaako breathed his first breath of polluted air, and he looked at all the "things" that were there. What a marvel!

He soon fell in with a gang of street urchins, and survived by cheating and stealing for a few years. Until the fated encounter with Master Azallak, a githyanki monk looking for enlightenment in the Hive. When Vaako tried to steal his belt pouch, Azallak imparted a thorough lesson in pain to the young genasi, and then decided that he would serve him for the next five years.

What started as slavery, soon became a harsh training in the githzerai martial arts, the zerthin. When he completed his basic training, Azallak told him that a true Master must know the Multiverse, learn from the Infinite Possibilities, and stretch his legs daily!

Thus Vaako became a Planeswalker, He seeks to harness his true potential, an enlightenment that will only come to him once he travels the Great Wheel. And who knows, if he still lives, maybe a travel that will bring him once again face to face with his "beloved" father. Or whatever is left of him.

Death (session 36): Ripped apart by a vrock demon in the Abyss. Resurrected by Serghor.

Retired (session 38): He roams Malar's realm in Carceri, the Land of the Hunt, with his adopted tribe of savage hunters.
