Heroes: Aldarion, Meghera, Serghor, So-Kehur, Trull
Having reunited in Sigil, the Heroes turn their attention once again to the mysterious "giant" Raziel (see here). Trull has earned the right to dispose of him as he wishes, and he decides to free him so that he may complete his quest: find a portal to go back "home", to an unknown Prime Material plane, apparently the same plane Meghera hails from.
Raziel guides the Heroes to the Outlands, and then to the Caverns of Thought, the realm of the illithid power Ilsensine. Inside the caves, the Heroes are assaulted by the mad god's psychic power, pushing them on the brink of madness.
When they enter one of the illithid enclaves, they fight their way through mind-controlled guardians, eventually entering the a dissection chamber guarded by nasty little creatures called Intellect Devourers. What loos like an easy fight soon turns into tragedy, as one of the tiny beasts attacks Trull by surprise, and devours his brain.
