Heroes: Meghera, Serghor, Zark, Trull
As the dust settles, the prison warden turns his attention once again to the magical Crown. When the wizards on site analyze the item, they understand that it is damaged; only its creators may be able to repair it. With Serghor and So'Kehur still under obligation to keep Eztli in prison, they agree to travel to the Nagai citadel where the Crown was forged. The elven wizard Talagan accompanies them to speed their travels.
On their way, they have a chacne (!) encounter with an Astral Dreadnought, but they manage to banish the creature before it can unleash its full power on them; then they proceed to escape as fast as possible.
When they reach the Nagai citadel of Koru'senn, they come into contact with the spartan caste system of the Nagai. They manage to behave without starting any fights, and they rapidly get access to one of the Nagai mindbenders. When the master "connects" with the Crown, he reveals to them that the Crown is "wounded", and the healing it requires can only be found when the Crown "atones" for the sins it helped commit.
Not sure of the meaning of this, Serghor decides to wear the Crwon to also try and communicate with it. He receives visions of a town of sorts, all its building floating in the Astral Plane and connected by colossal chains. In the vision, a man wears the Crown, and imposes its will on the townsfolk, making them believe he's the greatest hero they'll ever meet. The Heroes understand that in order to heal the Crown, they must unmask this conman.
After gathering some info, they travel to the Swallowed Town, the place that Serghor saw in his vision. There they soon meet Aurus, a local bard and "hero" loved by the townsfolk. In order to unmask the man, they challenge him to a "friendly" tournament in order to test his warrior abilities. They receive the help of a local adventurer's guld, the Astral Warriors, and the day after they arrival the tournament takes place.
Trull manages to reach the final round, and readies himself to challenge Aurus. As Aurus makes its way to the fighting grounds, visibly shaking with fear, a roar can be heard from above, and the first shouts of alarm. Several astral ships have have surrounded the town, and many young dragons are diving and breathing fire. On their backs, githyanki knights raise their silver blades, eager for blood.
